南州糖廠早年稱為東港糖廠,因易與東港鄉地名混淆乃更名。屏東縣南州鄉原稱溪州鄉,因與彰化縣溪州鄉同名,於1956年改為南州鄉,1958年2月10日起火車站名亦由溪州站改為南州站。

The monument (est. in 1947) of warehouse in Nan-Cho Sugar Factory, it appears the old name (Tung-Kang) of this sugar factory.
